Singularity Discord

Über den Server

Welcome to Singularity community, a Discord community dedicated to thoughtful discussion and speculation about the technological singularity. This is a place to explore ideas about the potential emergence of superintelligent AI, the prospects of radical life extension, mind uploading, and other exponentially accelerating technologies that may fundamentally transform the human condition.

We aim to take a balanced, nuanced look at these topics, considering both the exciting possibilities and potential risks. This server welcomes people from all backgrounds - technologists, philosophers, futurists, science fiction fans, and anyone curious about the future of humanity in the age of advanced AI and biotechnology.

Channels cover broad themes like artificial general intelligence, longevity escape velocity, transhumanism... There are also channels for discussing books, music, games, related (or not) to singularitarian themes.

While we encourage speculation and thought experiments, we ask that discussions remain thoughtful, substantive and backed up by evidence and logic. We want to foster an atmosphere of curiosity, intellectual humility and scientific rigor.

If you're interested in the cutting edge of humanity's voyage into the future, join us on this adventure of the mind! Dive down the rabbit hole of singularitarian ideas and emerge with a deeper appreciation for the wonders - and perils - technology may soon unfold.
