Intellectualist is a server dedicated to discussions on politics, philosophy, and religion. Our aim is to facilitate thoughtful conversations in a civilized manner, where participants engage with ideas rather than resorting to personal attacks. We recognize the challenge of maintaining organization in a platform like Discord, but our dedicated staff work diligently to ensure that debates and discussions adhere to our established rules.
We have a weekly podcast, daily events, member run clubs, what we call Mavens, who are essentially experts in w wide range of intellectual fields, stage events, and much more.
The internet can be a pretty edgy place. Facilitating an agreeable community atmosphere away from the trolls of the web is paramount as a part of our mission statement.
While we are not strictly a debate-focused server, some may perceive us as such due to the prevalence of similar servers on Discord. Our primary focus, however, is on sharing ideas, and we actively encourage debate through features like our Debate Club and various debate events. These events range from structured debates to more informal discussions, accommodating diverse styles of engagement.
Intellectualist provides a sanctuary away from the chaotic nature of comparable servers. Our server boasts a multitude of text and voice channels covering diverse topics such as art, math, music, ethics, history, politics, sciences, theology, language, literature, sociology, economics, philosophy, psychology, and technology. These channels offer participants a comprehensive platform to explore their interests.
What sets us apart from other servers on Discord is our commitment to maintaining order and civility. We strictly enforce rules against racism, bigotry, name-calling, and other malicious behaviors. By adhering to these guidelines, we create an environment where individuals can engage in meaningful discussions without the disruptions often encountered in other online communities.
